When we meditate we learn to elevate our range of consciousness, which makes it possible to perceive more information from the spiritual levels and less from the material level. The more experience we gain effectively meditating, the more we become aware of higher levels of consciousness (light, energy, mass), the more our range of awareness will expand, and the more we will perceive the higher spiritual levels of awareness. The goal of any meditative practice is to help us become more aware of reality as a whole, retaining awareness of every level of the scale (as we gain awareness of higher levels of consciousness, we retain awareness of all previously known levels as well). This range of awareness is present to enlightened humans, and we are all capable of attaining it. When we meditate we learn to elevate our range of consciousness, which makes it possible to perceive more information from the spiritual levels and less from the material level.
